Who am I?

Welcome and welcome! While I could introduce myself with a very academic speech and list my professional accomplishments, I rather share a snapshot of who I really am and why I have become a life coach.

My name is Diana. A self-declared foodie, traveler, parent, wife, and extroverted introvert. For many years I have worked in the nonprofit world, and in outreach services. I find tremendous reward helping others and meeting people with all kinds of stories.

Years later, I realized that I was finding myself in conversations that I recognized as personal coaching sessions. I decided it was time for me to make an adjustment in my life and take the plunge to formally initiate my career as a life coach. While this has definitely been the scariest and most challenging endeavor I have taken, I couldn't be happier.

In my work, I focus on 3 areas utilizing the basic concepts of emotional intelligence (EQ) as a guide for each:

- Relationships (personal or professional)

- Time management

- Stress management

I love, and I mean LOVE, emotional intelligence. I truly believe that if we each possessed a little bit more EQ, we'd all be happier and more efficient. This is why I like incorporating EQ into my approaches and coaching.

As a support resource, my hopes and wishes are to introduce alternative ways of thinking and processing while finding joy along the way!

About
Anchor 1

What is a life coach?

Let me start this by saying what a life coach is not; a therapist or mental health professional. There should never be a deep dive into your past that may cause undue harm. If you feel like you need this kind of support, please seek out the services of a licensed mental health professional. Therapy can be a wonderful tool and I highly encourage everyone to give it a try as needed. (Psychologytoday.com is a great resource if you think you need specialized therapeutic support)

Life coaches have experience and insight that are personal and unique to each of us, and we want to share these as resources to others. We are here to help you strategize a plan and offer support in present time. This method helps you to zero in on your goals (whatever they may be) and formulate a plan on how to achieve them. Having an outside perspective to help us see things clearer without bias or personal connection can be the thing you didn't realize you needed. And most importantly, a life coach should hold you accountable for your actions but also share ground-floor ideas as to how you can effectively move forward in accomplishing your goals.
